Whatever your leg shape, wear your tights loud and proud.

Whether you’ve got pins like Sophie Ellis Bextor’s, or your legs are more like Beth Ditto’s - this season, whatever your leg shape wear your tights loud and proud.

Tights have for all too long spent time in the shade, being shunned in favour of a delectable shoe or a pretty dress. But this season it’s time for tights to shine. Dotty, stripy or pure colour pop – just make sure they’re not boring old black.

Horizontal stripes worn with ankle boots? Yowzer. You’d have to be fearless! If so, we like theseGipsy Cyclone Tights for £6 from ASOS. Grunge has never looked so good.

Don’t fancy splashing the cash on a spray tan? Don’t blame ya. Dazzle a la Amy Childs in a pair of tangerine 50 Denier Tights for £4 from Boohoo. They’ll look super 60s paired with black brogues and a black cord mini skirt.

Topshop’s fashion tights offering comes in the form of this simple yet cute dotty pair of deniers. They’re £8.50 and would look great worn with knee-high socks and chunky boots. Just don’t stare at them for too long - you might start feeling queasy.

Treat your legs to a cosy pair of Falke Colour Block Stripe Tights from ASOS for £22. Yep, they might cost more than your average hosiery but they’re built to last and nice and snug too. Plus, the dark colour block on the lower and upper leg makes for a slender look even if your pins aren’t perfect.

For pure wow factor, Henry Holland at Debenhams comes up trumps – who else would come up with a pair of fashion tights adorned in Bingo balls?! Yes they’re busy and yes they’re bonkers but if you wear them with a pair of simple black heels and a shift dress we promise you won’t look like a clown. Bingo Ball Tights £15.

Meaow. Leopard print just doesn’t want to die. We’re a little bored of the old leopard print pumps look but we’ve rather fallen in lust with these Leopard Print Tights for £12 from River Island. Keep it classic rock with biker boots and steer clear from stilettos – the Bette Lynch look isn’t so hot.

And we finish our leg line-up with this Christmassy pair of fashion tights from The Peas Knees. Complete with snowflakes and reindeer, they’re unashamedly fit for December. Pamela Mann Christmas Fairisle Print Tights £7.99.
